SCI Political Action Committee Raises Massive Funding for 2014 Elections
Washington, D.C. – During the 2014 SCI Hunters’ Convention February 5-8, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Safari Club International’s Political Action Committee (SCI-PAC) once again had an impressive 4 days of fundraising to protect the rights of American sportsmen in the 2014 mid-term election cycle. Through the annual SCI-PAC sweepstakes, SCI membership came together to raise over a two hundred thousand dollars in four days through the sweepstakes entries to continue the growth of the fund for the 2014 election cycle. Pro-hunting candidates in the coming election will greatly benefit from this phenomenal outpouring of support from SCI membership.
SCI-PAC is the largest Sportsmen-led Political Action Committee in America. This is larger than the PACs of numerous corporate giants such as American Express, General Motors and Delta Airlines. This accomplishment and strength is due to the SCI members who have made a commitment to being first for hunters.
Over 22,500 SCI Members, exhibitors and members of the press converged on Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate hunting and raise money for Safari Club International at its 42nd Annual Hunters’ Convention. For over 4,000 attendees, it was their first SCI Convention.
