SCI Prepares Response To NPCA Opposition To H.R. 4089

In an attempt to legitimize their “sky is falling” campaign against H.R. 4089, the anti-hunting National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) paid the well-known Washington, D.C. law firm of Arnold and Porter to draft a so-called “legal analysis” of the impact of The Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage and Opportunities Act on the National Park System.  SCI is now working on its response to that document.  Relying on their significant experience with laws governing the use of National Parks and the authority of the National Park Service, SCI’s Litigation Section is preparing an opposition to the NPCA analysis that will dispute many of the NPCA’s circuitous and erroneous claims regarding the extent to which H.R. 4089 could affect hunting opportunities on lands administered by the National Park System.
